The first international conference on Intelligent Speed Adaptation will be held at the Sydney Convention Centre on Tuesday 10 November immediately before the 2009 Australasian Road Safety Research, Policing and Education Conference.
Leading practitioners in the field of ISA will discuss the latest results from ISA trials conducted around the world, including Australia, Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom and others.
Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA) is a vehicle based technology that promises significant road safety and environmental benefits. An ISA equipped vehicle ’knows’ the speed limit of a road.

- Be brought up to date on the progress of implementing ISA and its associated systems in Europe, North America and Australia.
- Examine the strategic opportunities for industry in the deployment of ISA and similar advanced driver assistance technologies.
- Develop strategic networks with key players in the Road Safety and Intelligent Transport Systems industries.
Delegates at the conference will include representatives from:
- International organisations and national governments.
- Regional, local and municipal authorities.
- Road safety organisations.
