Geo-Fencing

Geo-Fencer

  • Key Features
  • Unit location information / unauthorised removal shutdown
  • Breadcrumb trail reconstruction
  • Impact site identification
  • Dynamic speed alarm control
  • GPS zoned speed control

The Geo-fencer is an advanced, stand alone GPS receiver capable of being paired with the entire range of Speedshield products to provide various features requiring accurate, fast geographic positioning. The Geo-fencer provides up to the second position information to the Fleet Online AIRSIDE or Speed Controller through the GPS satellite network.

If an impact is detected, the Fleet Online AIRSIDE unit requests position information for the Geo-fencer module and append this data to the impact alert, allowing for pin point accurate location of the impact site, allowing in depth incident analysis to occur.

If required bread-crumb tracking data can be provided showing the positioning of the equipment over a specified time period. This can assist in vehicle location, as well as general traffic flow analysis and bottle necking identification and review, to assist in optimising traffic efficiencies.

The Speed Zoning system allows the Geo-fencer to determine positions and adjust both speed limits and speed alarm levels as required. This allows for slow internal speed limits to address pedestrian interaction controls, and faster external speed zones (multiple) to alleviate any transit distance issues at highly restricted speeds. This flexibility allows the execution of the most advanced traffic management processes in the workplace. Flexible exclusion zones can also be included to prevent equipment moving into restricted areas on a site.

The Geo-fencer also provides location information at vehicle shutdown to allow simple tracking down of equipment. The system can also be set to automatically lock out the vehicle if removed from a pre-set geographic boundary, and send an alert message indicating its current position for security purposes.
