Challenge:
After introducing variable speed zones in its warehouse, Nestle was struggling to control forklift speed across the different zones. Additionally, driver restraint usage and compliance needed to improve.
Solution:
Speedshield Technologies RF Zoned Speed Control system, Logic based Driver Interlocks/Restraints, and Transmission Control were all implemented to improve safety in a complex warehouse environment.
Results:
These combined solutions created a safer work environment by always ensuring the correct use of seatbelts and the following of forklift safety procedures. Vehicle transmissions were also prevented from being forced into forward or reverse while traveling in the other direction.
