Speedshield selected by TAC for Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA) Trial
Speedshield has been awarded a supply contract with the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) in Victoria and Main Roads Western Australia, to supply an intelligent speed control system for their on road vehicles.
The request for tender was made to 20+ companies globally with the intention of trialling a number of products.
However, Speedshield was the sole company selected based on their existing unique leading capabilities in ISA.
The trial has the Speedshield device installed on the TAC and Main Roads WA vehicles and is both alerting the driver to speed zone limit, alerting to change of speed zone and optionally allowing vehicle maximum speed to be controlled by Speedshield according to the current speed limit in the zone.
